Electronic Repair and Maintenance Technician

 

Salary £18,000 – £22,000 depending on experience

Hunters is assisting our leading aerospace client find an electronic repair and maintenance Technician.  (You must be able to pass a pre-employment Proficiency Test which includes fine soldering and be able to read circuit diagrams.) You will be able to efficiently service, manufacture or assemble under controlled documentation.  You may be qualified in electronics and are now looking to build and showcase your practical electronics skills, or you will be an experienced technician looking for a career challenge.

 

Duties:

  • Perform in a safe manner, maintenance checks, repair work and servicing communication equipment
  • Manufacturing and/or Assembly
  • Other related duties as assigned/required

Education:

Essential:

  • GCSE level in Maths or equivalent qualification

Desirable Experience:

  • HNC/HND or A level or equivalent qualification
  • Apprenticeship programme in electronics or electrical engineering or similar
  • Competence in performing electronics repair work or related maintenance experience
  • IPC specialist certification (J STD-001-Requirements for soldered electrical and electronics assembly)
  • Ability/skilled to work on two-way radios
  • Ability/skilled to work within quality assurance operating procedures
