    Hunters’ client is an extremely busy and very fast growing creative company enjoying sustained success.  Reporting to the NPD Director, the Purchasing and NPD Manager will play a key strategic role within the business.  Relevant industries: manufacturing, fashion, creative, jewellery, gadgets.  The team roles and responsibilities of an NPD Administrator will include but are not limited to:


    • Attend gift/NPD meetings as required to discuss and present new products
    • Liaise with suppliers in UK and in Far East
    • Work with the sales team to design packaging of new products from concept stage and pass briefs to designers from which to work
    • Take full responsibility for the overall design, look and feel of new products and communicate developments to team members
    • Actively source and recommend new packaging styles and solutions, making sure that the design and feel of the packaging matches the target audience of the product
    • Brief Far East and UK factories on new products, offering hand drawn schematics where necessary to aid in fully explaining the product and obtain detailed quotation sheet and complete the product specification sheet for each new line
    • Attend trade shows both in the UK and abroad as and when required
    • Attend factory visits in the UK and throughout the Far East where necessary (this could include up to 2 or 3 trips a year at the Company’s discretion)
    • Present samples and pre-production samples to the sales team giving break down on pricing/margins
    • Continually update our current ranges of products where necessary
    • Work closely with the sales team on their customers new product and packaging requirements
    • Provide on-going updates to the sales team and logistics with regards product sample availability
    • Liaise with local trading standards authority and accredited testing laboratories to ensure that the legally required testing and packaging labelling requirements for all new and existing products are detailed on the product specification sheet and artwork brief for the designers
    • Launch all new products on time and within budgetary controls
    • Ensure that any point of concern regarding quality that have been noted during new product development are added to the product specification sheet
    • Oversee and arrange relevant testing with Far Eastern test houses for each new item
