Technical Logistics Administrator
Burgess Hill – driver with own transport required
Full Time, 4 days on (7am-7pm) / 4 days off
£17000 – £18000

The Technical Logistics Administrator will suit a career-minded and numerate team player ideally with a passion for aircraft to work as part of the Technical Logistics team to provide the most efficient and cost effective solutions to ensure the company is compliant with all export and import regulations and policies. You will provide a high quality of service to all customers and departments in all aspects of the Technical Logistics function.
Minimum of 1 year’s administration experience gained within an office environment.
Preferable work experience within the Logistics industry.
Knowledge of Export and Import procedures and controls preferable.
Good computer literacy, highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with some experience of Quantum an advantage.
Problem solving ability.
Numerate, accurate with the ability to meet deadlines.
Analytical thinking and reporting skills.
Ability to recognise and respond to problems.
Self-motivated, able to use own initiative and succeed in a busy environment.
Good communication skills at all levels, verbal and written.

Flexibility in working hours to assist with Hand Carries of Aircraft parts to worldwide destinations and on call out of hours cover.
Assist with freight invoice evaluation and approval process of all freight invoices.
Assist with identifying and resolving invoice discrepancies.
Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments to achieve the most effective solution to freight invoice queries.
Assist with identifying and recharging all relevant costs as appropriate.
Assist with processing all company credits ensuring authorisation at the appropriate level.
Assist with freight cost estimates as required.
Assist with recognising and reacting to the urgency of the request for import including AOG, IOR, and routine shipments ensuring all target times are met.
Review import notifications, identify accurately the most appropriate and efficient method of import, adhering to tariff codes, customs procedure codes, valuations and internal procedures.
Liaise with all freight agents and issue relevant instructions as required.
Assist with identifying, investigating and providing resolution for all import queries.
Assist with processing data from import and export declarations accurately.
Support the technical team by identifying import and export declaration discrepancies.
Assist with investigating and identifying appropriate customs status of goods.
Assist with the shipment of export control goods.
Understand and assist with providing advice on export control requirements and worldwide compliance.
Update IT systems with all relevant data.
