Paralegal – Court of Protection
Location: Brighton & Hove
Salary: £27,000–£28,000 DOE
Hours: 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday

About the Role
Hunter’s esteemed client is looking for a Paralegal to join their Court of Protection team. This role mixes fee-earning work with admin support and is ideal for someone with experience in Court of Protection, Private Client, Mental Health, or Medical fields.
Paralegal – The Role
- Support senior team members with casework.
- Handle WIP, time recording and billing.
- Speak with clients, families, carers and professionals.
- Help manage client finances (HMRC, benefits, insurance, invoices).
- Prepare and maintain legal documents and files.
- Handle new enquiries and direct them correctly.
- Carry out legal research.
- Draft routine correspondence.
Paralegal – The Fit
- Experience in Court of Protection or similar work (essential).
- Law degree helpful but not required.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure and able to prioritise.
- Proactive, positive and a team player.
- Empathetic and patient, with the ability to support clients with complex injuries or needs.
