Hunters are recruiting on behalf of an ambitious business operating within the global aviation market. As they continue to grow, they’re looking for a proactive Purchasing Executive to join their Sales & Purchasing team.
Purchasing Executive -The Role
Working closely with the Sales Director and wider commercial team, you’ll support all aspects of purchasing administration, supplier coordination and procurement activity.
- Processing and maintaining accurate purchase orders and purchasing records
- Keeping supplier information and procurement systems up to date
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
- Supporting urgent purchasing requirements in a fast-moving operational environment
- Monitoring supplier performance and highlighting risks or opportunities
- Working closely with Sales, Operations, Logistics and Finance to ensure seamless purchasing processes
- Assisting with invoice and delivery queries
- Analysing supplier data and market trends to support purchasing decisions
- Contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency across the business
Purchasing Executive – About you
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, supply chain or administration role
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical skills with confidence working with data
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience using ERP, purchasing or inventory management systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- A proactive, flexible approach with a willingness to support changing business priorities
- Commercial awareness and an interest in developing procurement expertise
