It seems so obvious, doesn’t it? Why would anyone think of swearing in an interview? But it does happen, and we have been given feedback on more than one occasion that the candidate didn’t get the job because they swore. Occasionally a little naughty words falls from the lips. One must suppress a potty mouth. Sometimes a candidate hadn’t realised that their choice of language was letting them down. This is perhaps due to nerves or because they have been lulled into a false sense of security since the interview seemed informal.
